1. circus skills
Circus skills workshops for children 5-12 years old are suited to primary schools and out of school hours care, and run for 1.5 hours. These workshops typically include:
Details:
Number of tutors: 3
Maximum number of participants: 30
Space required:
Enough space for all children to be able to move around while participating in a moderately physical activity. This can be one large area or several smaller ones. Some of the activities are adversely affected by a slight wind, so having a space available indoors (for at least one activity) is recommended.
Equipment required:
All equipment is provided by POG. However, there are easy and inexpensive ways to make, buy or find many of the props used. POG are happy to assist if you would like to have a supply of these props for the children to play with at other times. Or consider the "making juggling balls" workshop (below) to give children the skills and satisfaction of making them themselves.

2. making juggling balls
An ideal complement to the circus skills workshop, this workshop promotes resourcefulness by showing how some toys can be made using ordinary objects, and encourages persistence by allowing continued practice with the newly made supply of juggling balls. This workshop can either be integrated into the "circus skills workshop" or run as a separate workshop. Suited to older kids with good fine motor skills.
